Usage

Blackbird Creek Ranch offers some of the finest deer and turkey hunting that the Southeastern U.S. has to offer. Trophy management combined with crops and food plots have proven to be more than a success on the Ranch. Giant white tailed deer are by no means a rare sighting at

Blackbird Creek Ranch. Bucks of the Boone & Crockett caliber are known to roam this portion of north eastern Missouri. Many other game animals flourish on the ranch such as turkeys, bobwhite quail and a steadily increasing population of ring necked pheasant.

Quality fishing certainly isn’t hard to find with 17 miles of lakeshore frontage on the ranch. Lake Thunderhead is an excellent fishery for many species of game fish such as largemouth bass, crappie, walleye, bluegill and catfish. A dense shad population along with the cover of coon tail

grass provides the lake with the perfect ecosystem for producing healthy fish. Fishing legends Jimmy Houston and Al Linder both agreed after filming several shows on the lake that Thunderhead is undoubtedly the premier fishing destination in not only Missouri but Iowa as well.
